'Tis the Season

Hello! We have had a very busy October and November, can't believe that we are almost to December already. We spent October working, going on walks, traveling to watch my sibs play sports, and making crafts....Rheagan and I have a blast crafting together :) We also celebrated Rheagan's 4th birthday!! We had a party at our house, then went to the carousel. Yep, two years in a row at a carousel, she can't get enough! I can't believe that we have a four year old already. Life has really been flying by. She is turning into a little person, and has such a great personality. She is very opinionated and smart. She is a great big sister and has been such a helper with Avery. I can't wait to see what the next few years with her entail!

Birthday girl!

Sisters :)

Avery has been busy growing and changing too. She is almost 8 months old already! Yikes. She starting crawling right around 7 months, and is already pulling herself up on us and the furniture to stand. I am a little scared for when she starts to walk! She has been wearing us thin lately with her sleeping habits, she wakes up so much at night. I don't even remember what its like to sleep through the night anymore. It makes me sad! Hopefully we can fix this soon, otherwise Jason and I will start to resemble walking zombies....

We just spent the last week with Jason's parents, and we had so much fun! They came to visit us over Thanksgiving. I love seeing them and realize each time I see them how blessed I am to have such amazing in-laws, and how lucky my girls are to have grandparents that love them so much. I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner (with Barb's help!) and no one got sick. Yay me! We also did some black friday shopping and watched a parade in downtown. Our time with them always flys by and I am always surprised when it is over.

Now its time to get Jason to get my Christmas decorations out of the creepy spider basement so that I can get our house into the holiday spirit!

Til next time...

Turns out I am not an amazing blogger...

As the title says...I am not a very good blogger! Turns out I don't dedicate the time needed to keep this thing up to date...rats. I really thought I could be good at this. I suppose I will have to settle for just writing random updates.

Turns out having 2 kids has made me much busier! We welcomed Avery Grace Harlow into the world at 9:18am on March 29th, 2012 via c-section. Have to say- c-section is a vastly different experience than a natural birth. Although you get to miss the whole contraction/birth part, the recovery is a B; capital B! I still feel like my ab muscles are off. Oh well! Worth it!!!
Here is a pic from the day before Avery graced us with her presence....

And our lovely little one.....

And since she is already so much older, here is a pic of her recently.....

Avery has been such a blessing in our lives, she is a mirror image of Rheagan when she was a baby, but their personalities are much different. Avery is very calm and seems content to observe her surroundings for the most part. This is good news, I don't know if my sanity would have survived a clone of Rheagan ;) But anyways, she rocks. And Rheagan rocks as a big sis, seriously, she has been super excited and hasn't shown any anger/jealousy at all. It is awesome. The biggest worry I have with her is that she isn't as gentle as she thinks she is....

Meanwhile, while we were adding to our family, we also moved...twice. We moved to Helena about a week after Avery was born, then moved to a different house about 2 months later. Finding somewhere to live here was a giiiiiant pain!!! Still not sure if we want to buy a house here....but I for one am not interested in packing our ridiculous amount of STUFF again anytime soon.

I was blessed to have the choice to spend the first 5 months of Avery's life as a SAHM, a choice that did NOT prove to be as easy-peasy as I thought it would! I struggled!!! And have HUGE respect for all of those SAHMs out there! I am not cut out to spend all of my days at home....so as summer was winding to a close, I started looking for jobs, hoping I could find one that would be based in a school. I was very blessed to find a job doing just that! I now work as a therapist with middle school kids who have emotional disturbances. It is similar to what I was doing when we lived in Missoula. Yay! I am excited to start this new chapter in my career.

K....think that is most of the headlines for our family as of now....I didn't mention Jason, sad! He is doing great! Just the best dad and husband ever!!! He is seriously so fab with the girls, and is such a great husband, he made my bday this week FANtastic!! Love him :) He is just working away and putting his extra time into crossfit! So I am blessed with a fit and fantastic hubs :)

Our family....
