Thanksgiving/1st Christmas
So we just got back from our 1st Christmas of the year. Each year we switch back and forth between my family and Jason's family for Christmas/Thanksgiving. It seems to work really well, we get to see both of our families and Rheagan gets to celebrate Christmas 3 times! lol. Poor kid, its going to be a sad day when she realizes that normally she should just get Christmas presents once a year!
It has been really fun to to spend some time as a family this holiday season. We are so busy with multiple jobs, Jason's school, and just life in general that we rarely get to spend time together. It was awesome even to sit in a car together for the 5 hr drive to Billings, probably the longest continual amount of time Jason and I have spent together for a while, well besides sleeping :)
Anyways, we had a great time and I am glad that we were able to take Rheagan to see the family in Billings, she loves them all so much, especially Aunt Anna, it is so much fun to see her get so excited about them all. I hope we get to continue to live close enough and to have the ability to travel to visit, it really is important to her.
Anyways, just a quick update.
Remember to be thankful for the people you love, and to let them know how much you care, because who can tell what the future brings?

Feelings into Words...
So I heard this song today...and it is a manifestation of my perspective on motherhood. It can be the most terrifying, stressful, hard job....but at the same time its the most gratifying, amazing, fulfilling, and life altering experience you can have. Becoming a mom has given my life more of a direction and meaning than anything else ever has. I thought I knew what it would be like, but until I actually held Rheagan in my my arms I didn't know I could love someone so much and be utterly terrified at the same time. I couldn't fathom the amazing responsibility that caring for and shaping another human's life holds. And while I'm not to the point of worrying about missed curfews or any of that...I can picture perfectly what that will be like for us. And although being a mom is not the only way I define myself, it is the one part of my life that I couldn't and wouldn't give up...and that's BIG.
When You Have a Child : Reba McEntire
When you have a child
You learn it's a serious business to have a little fun
You give grace and get forgiveness
Not seven times seventy but seven times seventy-one
And when you have a child
Those four walls you call a house
Take on a life of its own when you bring 'em home
You will cry and you will laugh
When they hurt it cuts you in half, it's your flesh and bone
*Chorus*
And year after year
Pictures fill page after page
They never really grow up
Still your baby at any age
And the first time you hold 'em, it's like you see God smile
When you have a child
And then boy meets girl
And perfume and gasoline rain on your perfect world
Curfews are often broken, thank yous aren't spoken
He's got the keys to that old Dodge, and she's wearing a corsage and her mama's pearls
*Repeat Chorus*
You pray that phone call never comes
And if God forbid how would you live
How could you go on and on and on and on
And year after year close the chapter and turn the page
Blue ribbons and losing season, flipping tassels on the stage
Oh but you don't need a photograph
You've got at least a million pictures of that smile
Oh when you close your eyes
When you love a child
Oh when you love a child

This will probably only interest other parents... :)
Seriously, this will potentially gross you out....continue reading at your own risk!
So....exciting news! Rheagan is starting to potty train! She has gone #1 and #2 in her potty! Lol...
We have struggled with how to start this whole process; she wavers between seeming interested/excited about the whole thing to showing less than zero interest. We haven't wanted to force her or make her feel bad about it, so we have sort of let her set the pace, I guess it might be working...
Can't wait to be done buying diapers!!!!!

First Post....
Hello all....
Thought I would try this blog business, seems like a good way for people to post updates about their families and life in general....so here goes!
The three of us have been running around the past few months trying to keep up with life; here is what we've been up to:
Jason is closing in on the end of his college career (for now lol), he will be graduating with an Accounting degree in May, and let me tell you, we can't wait for it to be over so we can actually spend time together again! He is also working at Enterprise part-time and he is dealing poker a couple of nights a week too. He keeps busy with all of that plus he plays on city league softball and basketball teams. Through it all he continues to be an amazing husband and father!
Rheagan just turned 2! I can't even believe it. I feel like our life is just flying by now that we are parents. She is pretty much the most amazing kid, EV! She talks up a storm, loves the word "no", is a sweeet dancer, and loves loves loves to read! (that's how I know she's mine ;) She goes to daycare part-time and it seems to be her fav place to be.
I am currently working for the Western Montana Mental Health Center, as a Behavioral Specialist. Basically I work in a middle school and try to keep the kids on my caseload from getting suspended...it can be pretty crazy but I love it and have made some good friends in the process! I am currently debating whether or not to go to Grad School...haven't decided yet.
As a family....we just had our wedding about 3 weeks ago! It was so much fun and totally worth all of the planning that went into it. Now I'm just "patiently" waiting for the pictures lol. Will update when that happens....
Well...that's all for now...we will see how good I am about keeping this updated, I am making it my new project now that wedding craziness is over!
